This contribution is about the water cycles of the earth with regard to plastic pollution and climate change. It summarizes current research findings about the greenhouse gases caused by plastic production and microplastics. In diesem Beitrag geht es um die Wasserkreisläufe der Erde im Hinblick auf die Plastikverschmutzung und den Klimawandel. Es werden aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse über die durch die Plastikproduktion und Mikroplastik verursachten Treibhausgase zusammengefasst.
